Prior to our refurbishment design, 16 Gibbon Road was a three-bedroom Victorian terraced dwelling in need of renovation located in Kingston upon Thames.
The client’s aim was to maximise floor area and open up spaces to adapt the house to today’s way of living. The property is to be refurbished to a very high standard, maintaining the Victorian street facade and original fireplaces.
A significant extension on the garden side provides additional floor area to transform the building into a six-bedroom property with three bathrooms. The ground floor and basement benefit from a central ‘Green Courtyard’ that provides natural daylight. An atelier building at the other end of the property garden complements the development and can be used as an office, art atelier or guesthouse.
